Question-:Someone working on my friends Pc has inadvertenly locked the browser with the content advisor(security)password.He is unable to use the internet browser(IE5).reinstalling IE5 does not work .Is there any way to get rid of the password?
Answer-:Content advisor password enables you to restrict cretain sites from being loaded.There is a way to delete the lost password and disable content Advisor passowrd.You will have to edit the registry to dlete the password.Navigate to the folowing key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAR\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Ratings.
In the right pane,right click on 'key' and click on delete.Exit the registry Editor now open IE.
Go to view->Internte options.click on disable when asked for password dont enter anyhting click OK.this will disable Content Advisor.
