PLEASE STAND BY question-:I use windows 98 SE wiht IE5.5.Recently,I wasn't able to see the stand by option in the shut down dialog box.The problem occured after my computer crashed onceand i had to press the reset button .How do get back this option?
Answer-:The problem is most due to power management issues after the computer crashed.To solve this. Go to Control panel(Start->Settings->control panle) and double click on the system option.Select the device. If you see the Advanced item here,removeit from the list .After this restartyour coputerand then Go to control panel->Add New hardwareand select Advanced powerManagement(or wait it to be automatically detected).Now you ,you should have your dtandby option back.
